Spelt flour
Spelt does not do well with mineral fertilizers, which reduces its yield. Thus, it is grown in special soils according to organic farming principles. The spelt flour does not contain GMOs, flavors or artificial. Due to the brown shell of the grain, it has a light brown tint. With its nutty flavor and aroma, this ingredient is becoming popular in gourmet baked goods, bread and desserts.
We are the first in Ukraine to offer spelt flour to supporters of healthy nutrition. Spelt is made from an ancient type of wheat. Our product complies with strict European organic standards, confirmed by the Euroleaf label on the packaging.
Three facts about organic spelt flour:
- Unlike other crops, spelt contains all essential amino acids. These help your body to build new cells and repair damaged tissues.
- The “slow” carbohydrates (mucopolysaccharides) in the spelt saturate the body with long-term energy and strengthen the immune system. Hence, flour made from it is also an excellent choice in terms of nutritional value. It is much easier to digest than many other milled products.
- Because ancient grains are very rich in protein, they also contain high levels of gluten. This provides spelt flour with excellent baking properties, with products from it acquiring a dense structure and rich yellow color.

Chemical composition of a product is characterized by calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, dietary fibres and vitamins. For organic products, these parameters significantly depend on natural factors – air temperature and precipitation during vegetational season, dry or rainy season, geographic latitude and longitude of cultivation, botanical grain varieties, and soil type. It is impossible to foresee all the factors, so these values are average and indicative only.
